Unitec is Canada’s largest independent supplier of welding products, welding gases, and propane for construction heat, carburetion and home heating. Established in 1969 by Joe Stangl, Unitec is a family run organization currently employing over 75 people. Five (5) locations in Ontario, two (2) in Quebec and two (2) in Alberta provide our customers with timely, efficient, friendly service.

Unitec is a full service industrial gas supplier, providing all industrial gases in liquid and gaseous forms in all types of packaging – single cylinders, bulk packs, and liquid cylinder packaging. Propane, food packaging gases and specialty gases are also filled on site. The facility is the most modern plant in the Greater Toronto Area with its palletized manifold filling system and is capable of filling gas products up to 6000 psi.

Unitec also maintains a strong relationship with all the major welding equipment suppliers - Lincoln Electric, Esab, Hobart, Miller, Sait, Tweco, Jackson, Walter, Bernard, Tregaskiss are all strong partners with Unitec.
